Karl Pillemer, the Cornell University gerontologist, recently published a new book. The title, 30 Lessons for Living: Tried and True Advice from the Wisest Americans, suggests that it includes sage advice for those of us approaching or in the midst of becoming elderly. The book was reviewed in the New York times at: http://newoldage.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/12/07/hearing-the-elderly/.
A companion website is also worth checking out. The Legacy Project includes such posts as "What I've Learned from an Elder."
